Already answered your question,

In series the Resistances would be like one after one in alternate form.
According to Physics, the potential would be different at each resistance one after one and the current flowing through all the resistance in series would be same.
In oarallel the resistance would have same potential but different current.

this is very simple to find out ….
in series thr resistance is one after the other and in parallel it is one below the other
in series the potential across each R changes and current will remain same .
while in parallel potential would be same across each R and current changes …
hope you understand
good luck
