let the velocity of the "wooden block+ bullet "(after hit by bullet) be v so 1/2 mv2= mgh we get v2=2*g* (0..05)
so v = sqrt (0.98) = 0.7v2 m/sec
Let velocity of bullet was u,
so 0.01 *u = (5+0.01)*v =>
u = 5 * 0.7v2 /0.01 = 350 m/sec
so v = sqrt (0.98) = 0.7v2 m/sec
