Work done to bring the first particle will be zero.
Work done to bring the second particle will be equal to the potential energy of that particle in the gravitational field of the previous particle. So the work done is GMmr=G×0.1×0.10.02
Work done to bring the third particle will be G×0.1×0.10.02+G×0.1×0.10.02×2 (because the distance between the corners are a2√ for a square)
To bring the fourth one the work done will be G×0.1×0.10.02+G×0.1×0.10.02+G×0.1×0.10.02×2
So total work done is
G×0.1×0.10.02+G×0.1×0.10.02+G×0.1×0.10.02×2√+G×0.1×0.10.02+G×0.1×0.10.02+G×0.1×0.10.02×2√=4×G×0.1×0.10.02+2×G×0.1×0.10.02×2√=G×0.1×0.10.02(4+2√)=5×6.67×10−11×0.1×0.10.02(4+2√)=1.8×10−10 J
