GALILEO DISCOVERED THROUGH THIS EXPERIMENT THAT THE OBJECTS FELL WITH THE SAME ACCELERATION, PROVING HIS PREDICTION TRUE, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME DISPROVING ARISTOTLE'S THEORY OF GRAVITY (WHICH STATES THAT OBJECTS FALL AT SPEED PROPORTIONAL TO THEIR MASS). This is because heavier objects experience more force as compared to lighter ones.
Imagine two objects at same height from the ground. they bth experience same acceleration(a=g).
since their masses are different they experience different forces.(since F=ma).
So an object experience force directly proportional to its mass.
this makes heavier one fall same as the lighter ones.

The force action on the free falling is gravity . 
The gravitatinal force is given by 
F = mg 
So Force depends on mass 
So, more the mass more will be the force acting .
