Dear student,

Since the ends of same thread have tensionsT_1andT_3, both these tensions are going to be same. If not, two regions of the same thread will have different accelerations which would mean that the thread is breaking.

But the thread with tensionT_2is different from that ofT_1,T_3and hence it can have different value.
