Is SL arora really important (or the best book) for physics in 12th for cbse boards? Is there any alternative. Its very time consuming. If its important then what chapters shud i definitely do from sl arora?

No, sl arora is not nas such essential , but u wl get the proper way to approach a derivation from this book , and also this book have so mcuh no of conceptual problems which will help u in the upcoming exams like jee and neet .
and also there are substitutres if u want it for boards prep only .
take out ARIHANT ALL IN ONE , its a complete book in itself , and also there ques are of high imp level .

alongwith that follow the last 10 years board ques papers of arihant . that will help u to gain confdence and score more for boards

S.L Arrora is just for board exams.It`s good for theory,numericals.For NEET ,you solve CBSE text book and , Objective in physics by D.C.Pandey.For JEE solve textbook, concept of physics by H.C Verma,and Master resource book in physics for JEE MAIN (Arihant publication).
