In a shooting alley where people come to shoot bullets at targets, it is decided to replace the existing paper sheet targets with wooden sheets so as to catch the bullets. A bullet is observed to lose 5% of its initial velocity when it passes through the wooden sheet. How many such sheets would be needed to completely absorb the incoming bullet?

Hello Student,

$\\ \\$after each sheet the velocity will remain$ \\v(i+1)=0.95v(i) \\v(i)=0.95^iv \\$mathmatically it will always have some velocity$ \\$so depends when you consider the velocity to be negligible$ \\0.95^{30}=0.21 \\$
