let 2kg,3kg be on the x-axis
each side is 6m long.
co-ordinates of 1kg = (6,0)
co-ordinates of 2kg = (0,0)
co-ordinates of 3kg = (3,3*(3^1/2)) (pythagoras th.)

equation for co-ordinates of c.o.m.=

∑m_ix_i/∑m_i

∑m_iy_i/∑m_i

X = (1(6)+2(0)+3(3))/1+2+3 = 2.5

Y = (1(0)+2(0)+3(3*(3^1/2)))/1+2+3 = (3*(3^1/2))/2

co-ordinates = (2.5,(3*(3^1/2))/2)

Using distance formula = ((x₂-x₁)²+(y₂-y₁)²)^1/2

= 9 + 6.75 = 15.75 units

Three identical balls are placed on a frictionless horizontal surface touching each other. They stick to each other because of adhesive.
