how we define coservation of momentam?

Law of conservation of momentum states that -"If two bodies are colliding than total momentum before collision will be equal to the total momentum after collision". Thus total momentum remains conserved or constant.
Expression for change in momentum can be given as:-
m1 * delta v1 = - m2 * delta v2
change in momentum before collision is equal and opposite.
