How to prepare a spring with low compression and high expansion..?
and what does the compresion and expansion effect the sprig constant.....
if we wnt to compress the spring with small force,we should get the high epansion so what should we do?? please help me... FAST......
and if repeatdly used then the spring should not lose its properties....so what should we do ....?

Spring may be defined as a device which gets deflection(deformation) under the action of external load. If the load is removed, spring restores its original size and shape. It acts as a energy storage device in many industrial applications.
Spring constant: It is also known as Spring stiffness. It may be defined as Load required to unit deformation or expansion. Its unit is N/m . For example, if spring constant is 10 N/m, it means 10N force is required to get 1 m expansion in length in the case of close coiled helical spring. If you consider open coiled helical spring, you need 10 N force to compress 1 m in length..
Spring constant depends upon various factors like Shear modulus, spring material, number of turns, etc
Now I am coming to your question . You want to prepare a spring which has low compression and high expansion i.e. elongation in a single spring. My answer is it may not be possible to incorporate both the above requirements in a single spring. In short, compression and expansion or elongation will be equal for a open coiled helical spring. Compression is not possible for Close coiled helical spring.
