THE AIR CONTAIN CERTAIN NUMBER OF MOLECULES , the molecule have a certain amount of heat energy , when the air is compressed trhe total heat enrgy now occupies a smaller volume , unless the heat is rapidly removed , the air is being compressed
the air temp has to be increased beacuse the heat energy per unit volume is increasing .
now imagine a gas was in cylinder and expand by pushing agnaist a piston , the movement will involve of work being done , the work will need energy which will come from kinetic energy ,
