Hi All, Please help me to solve following question: A body is suspended from a spring balance kept in a satellite. The reading of the balance is W1 when the satellite goes in an orbit of radius R and is W2 when it goes in an orbit of radius 2R. What is relation between W1 and W2? Regards, Vivek

Hello
W2 will be 1/4th of W1 as gravity varies inversely with the square of distance of seperation so when radius doubles gravity becomes 1/4th
