Unfortunately No! Static friction cannot produce an acceleration in any body. It is due to the fact that static friction acts on a body only when an external force tries to move the body, it self adjusts so that motion is inachievable. However, if the external force exceeds the value of limiting friction, kinetic friction starts acting on the body. Thus, static friction cannot cause an acceleration
