The cyclotron is a device that is used to accelerate positive charged particle to very high velocities but not negatively charged because they have small mass and hence become unmanegeable. this devices uses cross electric and magnetic field for the purpose and is based on the principle that a charged partocle moves In circular path in a magnetic field and also uses property of electrostatic shielding.
