differntiate given eq wrt x
then m=dy/dx=3x3  now you can find the slope of y=x3  at any given point (x,y)

Dear Sivaram,
Slope of the given expression can be found out by differentiating the given expression on both sides with respect to dx, on differentiating the left hand side by dx we get dy/dx which is the general slope and on differentiating the right hand side we get, 3x^2(Differentiation of x^n=n[x^(n-1)]).{`^` indicates to the power}.
