velocity = dx/dt => 12 – 3t^2
when v = 0 the time,
t^2 = 4
t = 2 seconds.
Therfore,
at t=2,
x = 40 – 12*2 – 8 => 40 – 24 – 8 => 40 – 32 => 8 meter.
