Speed has only magnotude

Speed is the rate in which DISTANCE is covered , while , Velocity is the rate in which DISPLACEMENT IS COVERED .
Note – Speed is always > velocity for a given path . The one and only circumstance , where speed =velocity , is straight line path
since distance = displacement in that case . Hope you might this useful . thank you
