Dear Student,
For the vehicle to go round the bended track at a sensible speed without slipping, the more noteworthy centripetal constrain is overseen for it by raising the external edge of the track a little over the inward edge. It is called keeping money of round tracks.
Consider a vehicle of weight Mg, moving cycle a bended way of sweep r, with a speed v, on a street saved money through angleѳ
The vehicle is under the activity of the accompanying strengths:
• The weight Mg acting vertically downwards
• The response R of the ground to the vehicle, acting along the typical to the saved money street OA the upward way
The vertical part R cos Ѳ of the typical response R will adjust the heaviness of the vehicle and the level segment R sin Ѳ will give the vital centripetal constrain to the vehicle. Accordingly,
R cosѳ = Mg … (i)
R sinѳ= uMg… (ii)
Dividing both the eqns. we get,
tanthetha = u.
Where u is the coefficient friction.
Cheers!!
