Activity of radioactive substance is defined as the number of disintegration takes place in the given sample per second.
Its SI unit is Becquerel (Bq).
1 Bq is one disintegration per second

1 Bq is one disintegration per second named after the discoverer of
radioactivity, Henry Becquerel.
