Can the velocity of an object reverse direction when its acceleration is constant

Yes.
For example when a body is projected upwards then velocity is in upward diraction but when the body reaches max height it starts fallig downwards thus velocity is in downward direction.
Hence velocity reverses its direction but during the whole motion of the body
acceleration due to gravity acting on it remains constant i.e. 9.8 m/s²
