calculate the torque developed by an airplane engine whose output is 2000 HP at an angular velocity of 2400 rev per min

\omega = 2\pi (2400/60) = 80\pi rad/s

Work done by torque = (torque) x (angular displacement)
Power = work done per sec = \tau(\Delta \Theta/\Deltat)

Power = \tau \omega
 
\tau =  2000 x 746  = 5934 Nm      
           80\pi
