Total momentum and energy of the system has to be conserved.Initially assuming infinite separationtotal momentum is 0 and total energy has to be zero.So, P1=P2........(1)Get relation between the velocity.Then add the KE of both bodies with PE due to electrostatic interaction.K+U=0...........(2)Plug in the relation from (1)in (2).You will get your answer as V+=(e/r)*(4k/3m)^0.5V-=(e/r)*(k/3m)^0.5Hope this helps
