in this question, accelaration of M should be such that the pseudo force which acts on the body m is equal and opposite to gsin30 . the pseudo force acts horizontally backwards therefore pseudo accelaration a also acts horizontally and backwards. now the component of a acting opposite to gsin 30 is asin 60 ( because theta between normal and a is 60 )
equate the two and you’ll get the answer :)
