  1. Moment of inertia about the centre of axis of rod is always => ML^2/12.
Therfore, Moment of inertia about axis YY’ = ML^2/12
 
  1. MOI about PQ asis would be => YY’ + M(L/2)^2 => ML^2/12 + ML^2/4 => ML^2/3
  1. MOI about XX’ wuld be => YY’ + M(L/2 – L/3)^2 => ML^2/12 +  ML^2/36 => ML^2/9.
