a turn of radius 20m is banked for vehicle going at a speed 10m/s if the coefficient of static friction between road and tyre is 0.4, what are the possibles speeds of a vehicle so that it neither slips down nor skid up.
please give full explaination with diagram....

Hi,

For skidding up, friction force would act towards the centre and for slipping down, friction force would act away from the centre. Use this to draw FBD in both cases and equate the forces and moments to calculate limiting speeds in both cases.
