Dear student,

This statement is absolutely wrong. A physical quantity is either a scalar, vector or tensor. Sometimes confusion arises when you use same alphabet to represent the vector as well as its magnitude(a scalar).You could elaborate your point of confusion so that we could clarify it as much as possible.
