As we know when the particle will reach its max. height then its final velocity will be 0, so
t = (v-u)÷a
i.e. t1= (0 – 30)÷ -10
      t1 = -30 ÷ -10
     t1 = 3 seconds for going up
 and the distance covered ‘s’
             s = ut1 + ½at12
       i.e.   s = 30x3 + ½(-10)x32
                 s = 90 – 45
              s = 45 m
 Now, for coming down
      u = 0 and a = 10
 So,
      s = ut2 + ½ at22
        45 = 0 + ½ (10)t22
      45 = 5t22
      9 = t22
     => t= 3 seconds
     \therefore total time of flight = t1+ t2
                                               = 3s + 3s
                                    = 6 seconds
