A parallel beam of monochromatic light strikes a transparent crystal having the cross section of a regular hexagon. The beam is parallel to the top and bottom faces of the hexagon, and points A and B in the attached diagram are the midpoints of the corresponding edges. After the refraction two separate parallel beams of light emerge from the crystal. What is the minimum index of refraction of the material that allows such an effect?(a) 1.5 (b)sqrt(15)/2 (c)sqrt(13)/2 (d)1.75

Hello
incidence = 90-(180-120)=30
1sin(30)=nsinr
sinr=1/2n
incidence on the glass surface <= sin(1/n)
now you can solve to get the answer.
Thanks & Regards
