The initial velocity of freely falling bolt must be zero .But,here in this case the lift is ascending upwards. therefore,for initial velocity of bolt the velocity of lift must be considered.
By relative velocity 
V(bolt:lift)=V(bolt)-V(lift)
                =0 - 5
                =-5m/s
