A fire hose is wrapped around a cylinder of radius 50.0cm which is attached to the side of a fire engine. A fireman grabs the end of the hose and begins to run with a constant acceleration of 1.5 m/s 2 . Assuming the hose is 200.0 meters long and has negliigilbe thickness, how fast is the cylinder rotating (in units of radians per second) after the hose has completely unraveled?

Dear Student,
Given in the qstn.,
R=50cm=0.5m
αR=1.5m/s2
=>α=3 rad/s2
d=200m
d=at2/2
=>200=1.5xt2/2
=>t=√(400/1.5)
w=αt=3x√(400/1.5) rad/s =49rad/s.
Cheers!!
