The projectile follows a parabolic path….beacuse

When you take out the components of forces or velocities on the projectile at any instant during its motion you will get the resulatnt force or velocites….you will see that the projectile trajectory will be parabolic

The path of projectile  motion is always parabolic. Hotizontal components of projectile motuon remains constant but vertical components keep on changing with height.
For numericals,
Time = 2u sinA/g
Maximum height =u^2 sinA^2 / 2g
Range(horizontal distance) = u^2 sin 2A / g
Here g is acceleration due to gravity and A is angle of projection!
