A ball B1 is projected from the point A at velocity u making angle 30° with the horizontal . another ball B2 is simultaneously projected from the point C vertically upward with velocity v . Both collide with each other at their maximum height. What is the ratio of U/V ?

To answer such questions you must understand that Uvert and V must be equal for balls B1 and B2 to collide. Uhoriz does not have any significant role in it.

So, V = Uvert
or,  V = U sin30
or,  V = U/2
or,  U/V = 2
