        Least count = 1 MSD – 1 VSD

 

Also least count =  MSD, where n is number of divisions on the vernier.

 

        For (i), least count =  m = 0.1 mm

 

        For (ii), least count =  mm = 0.05 m

 

        For (iii), least count =  mm = 0.025 mm

 

        For (iv), least count =  mm = 0.01 mm
