In Youngs double slit experiment why central point has bright band.

The distance between two slits is equal from the middle point which leads to zero path difference between two rays from slits which is a multiple of n*lamda. So constructive interference is occured at that place, gives bright band.

The central fringe is bright with monochromatic light whereas it is achromatic (white) with white
light.
