Dear Chlukuri,

If a device meets the requirements to be "double insulated" by a sanctioning body such as UL, then it doesn''t need the ground connection. That doesn''t make it good or bad, it is just the way the device is designed. 
The "AC adapter" is classified as an isolation transformer. Undesirable electricity essentially cannot get through it, so you don''t have to worry about getting shocked.
