Rain is falling vertically with a speed of 25m/s. A cyclist is going at a speed of 10m/s in the north to south direction. What is the relative velocity of rain with respect to cyclist? Also find the direction of velocity ?

magnitude of relative velocity=√(252+102)=5√29 m/s, direction is in vertical plane, south to north, at an angle of tan-1(10/25)

w.r.t. downward vertical
