19 cm/s in -ve downward direction.

solution:

Velocity of s/b= 5cm/s

relative acceleration=0i-(g+2)

Final relative velocity after 2 sec = v (relative)-a(relative)t

                                              =5-12*2

                                              =-19cm/s
