Normal is vertically upwards.

I think u are confused. U shud be very clear that normal always acts perpendicular to the surface on which the body moves..

So there might be the question how does body move in circular motion

In case of horizontal surface requires centrifugal for(i.e. mv^2/r) is provided by some other force such as tension(if  body is attached to a string) or friction(if surface is rough ) and so on....

Plzzzz approve my answer if u like it!!!!

Dear student,

The normal force is always through the point of contact and normal to the surface.
