Question

F = alpha/beta e-beta x / E . Consider this equation where F is force, x is distance and E is energy. Alpha and beta are constants. What are their dimensions?

Force is in Newtons , dimensional formula is MLT^--2so is alpha/beta

dimensional formula of alpha/betais MLT^-2

beta.x/E shld be dimensionless

dimension of x is L and of E is ML²T^-2

dimension of beta is same as of E/x i.e., MLT^-2

dimension of alpha is = M²L²T^-4

dimension of beta is = MLT^-2
