e-ax/kT    this is dimension less quantity

 so  -ax/kT =[M0L0T0]                        

(kinetic energy=3kT/2 ,so dimensions of KT is equal to dimensions of energy =[ML2T-2]  )

          a =dimension of  KT/x

          a=ML2T-2/L

           a =[MLT-2]
