contre of mass and centre of gravity are same when there is uniform dgravitational field
if the body is in uniform gravitational field then they can be different.

Both Center of Mass and CoG are same for small objects. However they are different for very large objects , which has dimesnions so large that different parts of body experience different gravitational force due to variation in value of g.
