Acricketplayermoves his hands backward on catchinga fastcricketball to prevent injury tothe hands. is because more time taken to stoptheball,therate of change of momentum of the ball is reduced, and hence a small force is exertedon the handsof players. So,the handsof the player do not get hurt.
