The equations of the lines through (1, 1) and making angles of 45º with the line x + y = 0 are
(A) x – 1 = 0, x – y = 0 (B) x – y = 0, y – 1 = 0
(C) x + y – 2 = 0, y – 1 = 0 (D) x – 1 = 0, y – 1 = 0

Dear student
x + y = 0
y = – x
hence at 45 degree lines will be parallel to x and y axis
so passing through (1,1)
lines will be
x = 1 and y = 1

slope of y=−x is −1 ∴ it means 135 with x axis ∴ the angle made by a line with x axis which is making 45 with y=−x is = 135−45
and 135+45
≡90 and 180
∴ the equation of the required line is y=−1 or x=−1
