Grade 12,

Options are: 1. Activation enthalpy to form C is 5kJ mol^-1 less than to form D. 2. D is kinetically stable product. 3. C is thermodynamically stable product. 4. Formation of A and B from C has highest enthalpy of activation. This question was given in JEE Main April 2019. The correct option given in the official answer key is 1. But I have a doubt if it’s not correct. Can you confirm it please?

Dear student
Activation enthalpy for C=20−5=15 kJ/mol
Activation enthalpy for D=15−5=10 kJ/mol.
so correct option is C.
Good Luck
Cheers
