roots of this eq are -a/2 ± 1/2*(a^2-4)^1/2, so diff of roots are {-a/2 + 1/2*(a^2-4)^1/2} - { -a/2 - 1/28(a^2-4)^1/2} =(a2-4)^1/2 which is less than5
 a2-4 less than 25
a2 less than 29 or a is bw ± root29
