Dear student

First of all, I hope you know the concept of the streamlines & equipotential lines.
We know that,
* Slope of streamline = v / u
* Slope of equipotential line = (-u) / v
* So, m1 × m2 = (-1).
Now, from above explanation we say that ***equipotential lines are normal to the streamlines.***
Now, coming to your point. You said stagnation point. So, first of all you need to know what is stagnation point
* **Stagnation point : It's point which is characterised by *****u = v = 0.( local velocity of fluid is zero)***
Now, as you see local velocity is zero at stagnation point.
So,
***At stagnation point,***
***Components of streamlines & equipotential lines are VANISH simultaneously***.
So,
It's pretty obvious that streamlines & equipotential lines are normal to each other ***except at stagnation point.***
Hope, this helps !
