Dear student

We can see that if the girl receives less than4apples the boy has to receive at least8apples so that the total is eleven.
On the other hand if the boy receives less than8apples the girl must receive at most4apples.

We can see that if the girl receives less than 4 apples the boy has to receive at least 8 apples so that the total is eleven.
On the other hand if the boy receives less than 8 apples the girl must receive at most 4 apples. 
So, option D is correct.
