it is also the laboratory method for the preparation of N2 gas..which produces Cr2O3...green in color..

on thermal decomposition yields Cr2O3..... nitrogen gas and water.... and hence gives green colour in the air

The right answer is (2) Cr2O3.....because ammonium dichromate on thermal decomposition yield Cr2O3 with nitrogen gas and water.....Cr2O3, is green in colour.
