A resistor ‘R’ and 2?F capacitor in series is connected through a switch to 200V directsupply. Across the capacitor is a neon bulb that lights up at 120V. Calculate the valueof R to make the bulb light up 5s after the switch has been closed. (log102.5 = 0.4) is?

use capacitor discharge formula V(capa.)=V(source)*exp(-t/R*C)

R=-(t/c)*1/(ln(V(cap.)/V(sour.))

as per your data it will be R=4.89*10^6 ohm

please check calculation may be i made some mistake

i hope you got it ..thank you
