hi I am going to take admission in a UPTU college ,i want to know what is the basic difference between the work of CSE and IT and what is there future prospects? plz help me out...

IT (Information Technology) engineering mostly deals with the software solutions for business problem solving. IT would deal more with programming, databases,applications. In other words, it deals more with the 'Information' part of the 'technology'.
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) ,on the other hand, deals with the study of hardware & operating systems. Computer Science students should know about registers, multitasking kernels, data/address buses etc...

Both the branches are equally good and equally lucrative ...moreover there is not much difference between both the subjects and i think 95% of subjects are also same in both of them..
most of the universities have the same subjects and same syllabus with a slight difference except the quality of faculty etc..

I think there are more subjects added in IT when compared to CSE...

and coming to the job prospects..both of them offer equal employment opportunities and the pay is also very handsome..

and if u r interested to do ur masters then there u can opt for any of them as there is not much difference..
